Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had a wonderful day with family.

We started out the day with Uncle Brendan and went to breakfast. A quick drive down south and the rest of the day was spent at Mary and Tim's with the rest of the Feit clan.

I didn't see much of Ramey as she became very efficient at approaching people, extending her arms and achieving her goal... getting picked up! She was passed around and loved every minute of it!!

I was able to accomplish some black friday shopping with Cindi and got the majority of my Christmas shopping completed. (Aunt Kristin got Ramey a winter coat for $15!!! what a deal, granted it's for next year but $15, hard to beat that!! Then it was back to Grandma and Papa's to watch the Lexington Minutemen in the state football game and see cousin Anthony play!!! (He did great!!! Unfortunately the lost) Grandma Betty and Aunt Donna drove up.... so we got to see them too!!

It was then back to Chicago so we could await the arrival of our new bed!!! King, so everyone fits now!!!

BATH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After dinner is bath time.... when this is said Ramey will stop what she is doing and head to the bathroom!!! It is by far her favorite time of day

Lately one of us will do kitchen duty and the other does bath time (I give Ron the choice and you can guess which one he usually picks)

Bath time with Mom:Not super exciting... a few toys and just a few inches of water
granted this was at 8 months... her first big tub experience

Bath time with Dad:
A tub full of water and bubbles, plus lots of toys that the jets shot across the tub.
No wonder bath time is so much fun!!
I'm pretty sure I didn't have my first Jacuzzi till I was much, much older... Lucky girl!

She has visitors too!

ok so neither one really enjoyed this but Lefty is always trying to get in so we put her in... both were very unhappy about it. I have a shot of Ramey trying to climb out of the tub (not appropriate for general viewing)

Sitting... Standing... and Climbing

The pictures say it all:

Sitting nicely in her rocking chair watching "The Wiggles"

No longer sitting nicely...
What?!?!?

What belongs on a book shelf:

"hi!"

One busy little girl

One of Ramey's favorite activities is to push things around the house...

This started before she could even walk with an empty diaper box, then it was the high chair (which she still pushes). Lately she has been pushing her little lawn chair around and gets made when it gets stuck on something... she has figured out that its light enough for her to pick up and just move it where she wants it

Last weekend she had fun pushing the bar stools from one side of the room and back again:

All Clear.... ALL CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

whoohoo!!!! All clear!!! Ramey had her follow-up ear appt this week and her ears look GREAT!!!!!!!

NO infection!!!! NO FLUID!!!! This is awesome for a child who has had an ear infection every month since August!!! I was so excited to hear this that I didn't care that the appt was to soon for her to get her booster H1N1 shot (which I just learned that she has 70% coverage for with the original shot) Unfortunately we now have to try to get her in during one of their "flu clinics" which are schedule the day of/night before but we will try... at least she was able to get both regular flu shots in

Me, on the other hand, is just now feeling better... slowly recovering from my cold which began about...oh 3 weeks ago!!! Still have a slight cough (but nothing like before) and a sore throat (mainly from sinus drainage)

Back to the monkey, which is what you all really want to hear about... she is doing well with the exception of starting to develop some separation anxiety... we had a rough night time routine the other night (she would cry and cry and cry any time I left but Ron went in and before I knew it she was out, go figure) plus leaving her with her teachers has gotten harder... she was doing SO well too! I was starting to enjoy the fact that I could spend some time with her during the day without it making it too hard on her... no longer the case.... she cries (ok screams) when ever she sees me :-( Hope this doesn't last too long as I will be the one doing all the tours soon!!

Kohl's Children's Museum

Aunt Donna came up for a visit and Ramey stayed home from school on Friday and they spent the day together... she got her to nap for almost 2 1/2 hours!!! (Donna must visit more often!!!) Then Friday night mommy and daddy got a date night... although we were home by 10:00 it was great to go to an adult only dinner and enjoy a "beverage" or two and not have to chase a little one around. Ramey had a great time at home with Aunt Donna and Uncle Brendan who let her take an extra long bath... she was busy showing off her splashing skills!!

Saturday was a beautiful morning... a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. We had a quick breakfast then drove up to Kohl's Children Museum... next time will try to plan ahead and check out passes from the library.

Ramey and Uncle Brendan hiding in the maze
Catch us if you can

After we finished playing in the maze, Ramey decided she wasn't finished and ran back towards the maze. Donna walked around the outside and I entered it thinking we'd catch her quickly. It became apparent that wasn't the case as we were getting close to meeting up and still no Ramey. She had entered one of the entrances and sat down... almost hiding from us.

They had a great little playground area where Ramey and Daddy enjoyed the twisty seats...

He got her nice and dizzy then let her go for a "walk" ... not nice but funny. The best part was when another child walked up to play with the twisty seats, Ramey ran over and was like... I don't think so, that's my twisty seat!!

We all had a great time and hope to visit again

Boo.... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween Little Monkey!!!
(Our dancing Monkey)

We headed out to Oak Park for their Halloween Parade and an afternoon with the Zajac's. Later we went to the Tauber's for a Mini-Monster Mash. It was too cold to join in the trick-or-treating and since she doesn't know what she is missing... we skipped it plus we don't nee the extra candy in the house.

A few pics from the day:

I WANT MORE CANDY!!!!
I'm not ready to go home
