Pop, boom, bang... Brrrr

Happy 4th of July!!!

It was a cold, wet and rainy day... but we spent it with family so it ended up being a glorious one!!
Our plan was to go to a parade then to Lake Bloomington for a picnic but it just rained and rained and rained. We ended up just hanging out at TnP's then headed over to John and Suzi's for a little bbq and some bags. Their neighborhood put on a mini fireworks show which was really nice. Ramey did well and liked all the colors.
It was a late night but she handled it well... she slept till past 830 on sunday! We did make it to church though.

OH and the big news of the day....
RAMEY TOOK A STEP....
it was only one..... Granma Patty and I both saw it!!! It may be weeks till it happens again but yay Ramey!!!

Relay for Life

Cheryl worked very hard year after year putting together a team for Relay for Life. We knew how important the cause was to her so we wanted to honor her in a special way. We had tee shirts made and did a few laps in her honor.

It was a long day and a late night but Ramey did very well.
We went to the closing ceremony on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny morning. My mom took Ramey over to a tent to get out of the sun and cool down a bit. When I looked over I saw my baby girl crawling around with my mom and fluttering about....
a yellow butterfly. I just know that Grandma Cheryl was there watching over Ramey and Granma Patty

A quick shout out:
Rhianna's Bananas did a fabulous job fund raising and raised nearly $10,000!!! Way to go you guys did great!!!

NINE Months

I know I say it every month... but my oh my... my little monkey is getting so big!!!
Stats: 16lbs 10 oz and 27 1/2 inches
(ok she's a little peanut... but look at all those teethe!!)

At her appt the doctor told me that the next time she sees her, she'll be a toddler... Noooooo!!!!!

She was very impressed with all of her skills and surprised by all her teeth. She thinks she'll be walking in no time... I told her, not if I keep pushing her down... which I promptly followed up with just kidding LOL!!

So what is Ramey up to now...
~Stands without holding on for several seconds
~Sleeping from 8pm to 7am
~Drinks from a sippy cup without much help as well as from a straw
~Loves to feed the dog from her highchair
~Enjoys playing peek-a-boo
~Is a super speed crawler
~"walks" while holding hands/walking toy
~Likes to go high and fast in the swing
~Favorite foods: CHEESE, mac-n-cheese, pasta, green beans, strawberries, blueberries and bread
~Biting mommy :-( I'm the only one she bites (see funny story below) She is holding strong at 8 teeth but it looks like a few more are working there way thru

She likes to eat them but she loves to squeeze them. LOL!!!

Biting story... we were over at the Ciaccio's having dinner. The little one's where crawling around on the floor when all the sudden I jump 3 inches into the air... my precious little girl had crawled up to me, pulled to standing then took a chunk out of my thigh!!! LOL (at least everyone else did) I've noticed she does this when she is hungry and/or tired. I just got a baby sign laungage book at the library so will try to teach her to comminicate in a proper form... wish me luck!!!

Delray Beach

CONGRATULATIONS JASON AND MICHELLE!!!!

The wedding was beautiful!!!!

We had great weather the whole weekend. Ramey did very well on the flight down. Once again she ended up sleeping with us... Although after a visit from Stanley Palmetto, we switched rooms to a double so Ramey and I had one bed and Ron had one all to his self. Donna and Grandma did a great job babysitting so Ron and I were able to spend a little baby free time at the reception.

It was great to see the Hogensons and the Mecums. I can't believe how fast the kids are all growing up!! We enjoyed some time at the pool and Ramey shared her ladybug with Olivia and Alex (even though he was a bit too big, he liked it all the same)

We spent some time on the beach for Father's Day.


Ramey enjoyed the beach a little more this time and had fun playing in the warm water.

Grandma helped Ramey learn how to drink from a straw!!

Big League Bath

We made the transition to the BIG tub!!! Ramey loves it!!! She enjoys crawling around, standing and splashing in Mommy and Daddy's big tub. She even puts her face in the water (either that or she was trying to drink it LOL :-))

Sleeping Baby

Who doesn't love a sleeping baby?!?!
Every night before bed I go into Ramey's room and check on her. I look down on her and want to freeze time and keep her my precious little girl.

I wish I had pictures of her latest sleeping positions... Since we've started to let her cry a bit she is almost always curled up in the corner closest to the door.
